Excerpt from THE SAVAGE PRINCIPLE...

Real time Readers:

Rowenna's a firecracker, Readers~

“Pray tell, why do you stare at my neck?” Rowenna accused, kicking up her chin.

“I mean no offense... I have not... seen...”

Then she pressed her hand to his mouth to halt his speech and a match lit. One he was instantly sure he could manage. He stepped closer to her and Rowenna hissed, “No fool, I see them.”

The Travelers, or Guardians, as Raymond knew them to be-- had arrived.

They would supervise their introduction, then he and Rowenna would be left to consummate their arrangement.

As he looked at her, a wild and passionate woman, barely more than a girl... he did not know who would be consumed.

Perhaps it would not be she.

But he....

Update: The Savage Principle is Next!

Hi Readers:

In an effort to renumber my series in the order I feel they should be read, I will begin writing a short novel, THE SAVAGE PRINCIPLE. It will technically be a prequel, but it is very spoiler-ish for readers who have not yet read PEARL and to some extent, BLOOD.

How do I fix that? Well... I name PRINCIPLE book three and I will release it when PROTECTOR was originally scheduled. Does it make PROTECTOR later? Yes. However, I don't think peeps will complain when they see Rowenna and King Raymond in action. I always write two titles simultaneously so PROTECTOR should have a staggered release of perhaps a month or so later. It's a longer work and will need extra time.

The reordering will not affect any readers who are currently enjoying the series. It'll just bring more "meat" to the reading table, so to speak....

Here is the updated order (to be implemented upon the release of PRINCIPLE)

THE PEARL SAVAGE (#1)
THE SAVAGE BLOOD (#2)
THE SAVAGE PRINCIPLE (#3) March
THE SAVAGE VENGEANCE (#4)
THE SAVAGE PROTECTOR (#5) April

Thank you so much for your patience!

Author J.A. Remerski THE EDGE OF NEVER Giveaway!

Hi Readers! By now I'm sure everyone has heard the buzz about the fantastic new adult contemporary romance by J.A. Redmerski, released on November 15, 2012. I dig Jessica and she was and is an early supporter of Death. I've been featured on her blog a few times... she's the greatest!  So It wasn't hard for me to give a resounding "yes" when I was invited by:
When they were ready to showcase this wonderful author!

So what is The EDGE of NEVER about exactly?
Twenty-year-old Camryn Bennett had always been one to think out-of-the-box, who knew she wanted something more in life than following the same repetitive patterns and growing old with the same repetitive life story. And she thought that her life was going in the right direction until everything fell apart.

Determined not to dwell on the negative and push forward, Camryn is set to move in with her best friend and plans to start a new job. But after an unexpected night at the hottest club in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, she makes the ultimate decision to leave the only life she’s ever known, far behind.

With a purse, a cell phone and a small bag with a few necessities, Camryn, with absolutely no direction or purpose boards a Greyhound bus alone and sets out to find herself. What she finds is a guy named Andrew Parrish, someone not so very different from her and who harbors his own dark secrets. But Camryn swore never to let down her walls again. And she vowed never to fall in love.

But with Andrew, Camryn finds herself doing a lot of things she never thought she’d do. He shows her what it’s really like to live out-of-the-box and to give in to her deepest, darkest desires. On their sporadic road-trip he becomes the center of her exciting and daring new life, pulling love and lust and emotion out of her in ways she never imagined possible. But will Andrew’s dark secret push them inseparably together, or tear them completely apart?

Due to sexual content and language, this book is recommended for 17+ – Adult Contemporary Women’s – New Adult Fiction

What sets TEoN apart from the sea of other CR novels out there?

In just a few words: Nothing and Everything!

Edge is so approachable as a work, that as a reader I found myself immediately drawn into the story. It does share a commonality with other works such as the following: EASY, On Dublin Street, Flat-Out Love and some other recent biggies. That is absolutely awesome because you know what you're in for: good characterization, angst, romance and that enigmatic little spark that makes the reader want to plow forward to see how things will end up.

In my opinion, what  really sets Edge apart as a unique novel is the scenescape. It was really intriguing that Redmerski chose a road trip as the canvas to paint her words on. I enjoyed that above all else in the book. I also liked the emotional vulnerability of the MCs. Both were utterly devoted to their presumptions and were blown away when those precepts they were certain would unfold- did not. The romance and sexual interaction in the book was edgy and just right for the newer genre classifcation of new adult. So often, as readers, we wish for steamy without skanky and Redmerski delivers on that fine line of just right. Other readers think so too, as Redmerski's TEofN has lingered in the top 100 for almost two months as of this posting!!! She is also the author of the wildly popular paranormal romance trilogy: The Darkwoods, another fave of mine.

(She's down to earth, talented and kind; what's not to like guys?)

In Jessica's own words:

Author of THE DARKWOODS TRILOGY and DIRTY EDEN, mother, werewolf & zombie fanatic, book addict and a happy hermit obsessed with the Universe. Oh, and AMC’s “The Walking Dead”.
Addictions: Starbucks every morning, trolling Barnes & Noble’s shelves once a week, detesting winter, shopping flea markets and preparing for the collapse of society as we know it. Do I own a tin foil hat? Maybe. :-)

I was born in Arkansas and have lived here most of my life, except the couple of times when I lived in Pennsylvania. I started my first novel at the age of thirteen and have been writing something ever since. Generally, I love characters in life and on paper. I pay attention to people, especially those whose personalities make them different from the rest of us: the drug addict roaming the Laundromat that talks to himself, the young, inattentive mother in the park with the meanest kid on the playground – (the entire cast of ‘Swamp People’) – characters fascinate me and I hope that it shows in my literary work.
